What modifications, if any, did you make to the design described in the Build Manual?
4mm BSS 1088 marine plywood throughout, rather than 3mm. 10.5″ lowered masik. Deck lowered by 10mm.
Glass cloth over entire hull inside and out, and outside of deck. Plywood deck hatches, secured with Russel Brown’s delrin toggles with no leakage after 1 hour of rolling. Hatch in curved foredeck had three reinforcing beams.
What is the weight of the finished kayak?
50 pounds.

How does the kayak perform on the water?
Rolls easily, edges & turns in chop and wind beautifully in the rough waters of San Francisco Bay.
